Clare Thomas

Clare is the head of our Family Law Department. She graduated from Essex University in 1992. She had a previous career as a state registered nurse specialising in intensive care nursing. After graduation she joined local solicitors in Ipswich as a trainee solicitor. On completion of her training she focused on litigation including civil litigation, criminal litigation and matrimonial law.
Clare joined Kerseys in January 2000 where she solely practises matrimonial law. She is a member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association and an accredited specialist with SFLA with particular specialisms in advanced financial provision and domestic abuse. Clare has recently completed training in the Collaborative Family Law process. The aim of Collaborative Law is to resolve family disputes without going to Court.
